Colocation and fibre
Leipzig, 4 September 2025. Leading network infrastructure provider Zayo Europe has expanded its extensive Pan-European footprint with the PŸUR Business Data Center to complement its German expansion.
Leipzig-based provider of high-performance telecommunication services, networking solutions and operator of highly certified data centers HLkomm Telekommunikation GmbH (PŸUR Business) impressed Zayo with strong security and high level of flexibility.
Zayo Europe and PŸUR Business agreed to continue its German expansion in PŸUR’s data center, which is widely used by large enterprises in the region. Zayo Europe is focused on connecting to all key data centre ecosystems in the market over the coming years, offering a broad selection of wavelength solutions to the diverse German business connectivity ecosystem.
Fail-safe operation of the infrastructure is ensured by connecting the data center to the high-availability fiber optic connection from PŸUR Business to Zayo Europe’s infrastructure ecosystem and Pan-European market across Frankfurt, London, Amsterdam and Paris (FLAP).
Dark fiber connections offer virtually unlimited bandwidths, as the data transmission rate is determined by the network technology used. They also enable direct, dedicated connections between locations without the detour via shared network infrastructures. This results in lower latency and greater reliability of the connection, which is crucial to successfully powering the AI revolution.
The high security standards of the PŸUR Business Data Center in Leipzig were critically important for Zayo Europe, including stringent physical protections, multi-layers access controls, and system redundancies to ensure operational continuity.
The PŸUR Business data center is one of the most secure data centers in central Germany, certified to TÜViT Trusted Site TSI.STANDARD V4.5 Level 3 (extended) and EN50600 AC3.
Colman Deegan, CEO of Zayo Europe, says: “As economies digitise and demand for cloud, AI, and machine learning grows, delivering low-latency, high-speed, and secure data sharing has never been more critical. Moving into the PŸUR Business Data Centre reflects our commitment to expanding in Germany, increasing our portfolio of connected data centres, and ensuring our new hub operates in a reliable, efficient, and cutting-edge environment. Collaboration like this in the industry is imperative to providing the highest quality connectivity throughout Europe.”
