- PŸUR recognised once again for offering value for money
- Three test victories with top marks for package deals
- Pure Speed 200 more affordable than least expensive 100 Mbit/s tariff
Berlin, 7 February 2022. PŸUR, a Tele Columbus AG brand, has been named the winner in three broadband tariff classes in a recent test of Germany’s largest regional and national internet providers by the publication connect. The overall product range offered by PŸUR won the authors over, especially with its services for frequent users (200–250 Mbit/s) and super high-end users (400–500 Mbit/s). Along with the price, the testers looked at network quality and service performance. The findings confirm that PŸUR is on track to achieving its goal of providing the best value for money in the market.
connect, Europe’s largest telecommunications magazine, examined the price and performance of German providers’ landline services for various types of user. The price was the sole determining factor when it came to tariffs. In addition to the connection charge, connect calculated the average monthly costs for tariffs with a two-year contract. The magazine also looked at the performance of the broadband networks and the quality of customer service offered by each of the providers.
By offering top speeds at a low price for frequent users, PŸUR managed to score the maximum number of points for its Pure Speed 200 tariff. PŸUR offers the best prices, terms and conditions by a large margin for frequent users, which connect places in the 200 to 250 Mbit/s broadband category. This particular score gave PŸUR the top marks in the test when it comes to overall price, value and service. A comparison with the offerings for normal users (50–100 Mbit/s) illustrates how unique PŸUR’s 200 Mbit/s truly is. The least expensive offer for normal users, a DSL 100 tariff, costs EUR 28 a month for a term of two years. By contrast, the Pure Speed 200 tariff – which provides twice the speed – costs only EUR 25 a month over the same period. As a result, PŸUR is proof positive that more speed does not automatically have to cost more.
PŸUR also offers the best package for speeds of 400 to 500 Mbit/s. In this category, connect even honoured two PŸUR tariffs as the best in the business. Both the cable tariff Pure Speed 400 and the fibre-optic tariff Pure Speed 500 provide unbeatable value for money, helping them achieve the maximum score in their tariff classes at an average monthly price of EUR 33 each.
“The results in this year’s connect broadband check underscore our efforts to offer PŸUR customers the best value for money at all times,” says Stefan Riedel, Chief Consumer Officer of Tele Columbus AG. “We are very happy to have been able to continue building on our excellent showing last year. High-quality services with a strong range of offerings continue gaining importance. That makes it all the more important for us to follow the trend towards higher bandwidths while providing excellent solutions in this field.”
